[outdated] Scholarship Mentoring Announcement

Folks, I've been waiting to be able to do this for a long time. Thanks to the growing support of my patrons, I'm now in the position where I can open up a limited number of scholarship mentoring slots; A deeply discounted tier that is otherwise identical to the full-price Mentoring tier. Aside: As someone who is primarily an educator, my growth plans for this channel do not involve hiring a team and running daily videos with adverts on everything - no. Others are welcome to that space.
My goals are to help more people, make higher-quality work, do better research (make fewer mistakes...) and invest my time and any surplus money from the Patreon into doing it all better. Also, maybe more podcasts? They're great.

SO: This greatly discounted mentoring tier is open to the following groups that have been, up till now, underrepresented in my mentees:

• Students (16yo and over)

• Women, trans, non-binary & other marginalised genders

• Racially minoritised people

• People on a fixed income (pension, disability benefits, etc)

• Or disadvantaged in other ways I've not thought of (email me to discuss!)

To save this tier for just the people who need it, I ask that if possible, when you first message me, please leave me in no doubt as to why the scholarship is right for you. (for students, that's easy: just email me from your university .edu/ac.uk/etc email)

I acknowledge that this kind of affirmative action is a blunt tool, but given the constraints of Patreon (I already have SO many tiers...), I think adding any more granularity would result in MORE confusion!
