'Sup y'all,
Time for a lil' devlog!
Over the past few weeks, I've mostly been focused on writing and planning out events for the update. Progress has been a bit slow, I was stuck on some parts, and I also ended up reworking parts of what I had planned before. The good news is I've now got a clearer idea of where things are headed, so the pace should pick up from here.
So far, I’ve written two medium-sized events. I’m currently rendering the second one. Also, the image in this post is a sneak-peek from said event.
Since writing's been slow as hell, I have dedicated some of my time to work on some other issues, and I've fixed two of them:
Call Student Bug: Previously, if an event happened at the same time as a 'call student' action, the event would cancel it out. That’s fixed now—both can happen properly.
Endless Mode: I’ve added an experimental button to the 'end-of-update' screen that lets you enter Endless Mode. It skips the 'no more content' screen and drops you back into the gameplay loop. You can still do interactions and go about your day, and the game saves the current date so you can return to normal mode if you want. It will probably mess with balance and timed events, though, so I've also put a warning before-hand that recommends saving your game first.
That’s about it for now. There’s another mechanic I’m planning to add soon, but I’ll talk more about it once I’ve actually started working on it.
Thanks for reading, and see ya next time!
