Beautiful Spanish Melody on Ukulele ... (Spanish Suite)

This is fantastic news 😍🙏🏼😍💪🏻😁 I am so excited - you will surely find a way.

Hi Brigit, I am glad you like the lesson and I am super proud of your achievement. Asturias is indeed doable and I already have an arrangement on tenor ukulele (high G). I am still waiting to see how to create the perfect tutorial. I will keep you posted :)

I am practicing this piece since March and by now it starts sounding like a song ... at last! And now I would like to suggest a really big piece ... how about a version of Asturias (Leyendo) for ukulele? Would it even be possible to play (probably only with a low G I think)? Wouldn't this be a great project for a course or workshop, Marco?

Ciao Giuseppe.

Anyway, thank you so much.

Awesome! Keep me posted on your progress :)

Enjoy the lessons, Lucas. :)

Hi Jane. Thanks for asking. This is kind of a long one, so I might put together a video. Thanks a lot for suggesting this. It's indeed a quite interesting topic.

I am very impressed, the beauty of the piece comes through even when I am not playing it very well on my first attempt but I am inspired to put in some serious practice and get some fluency. I do like the simple start with adding more and more to get the finished product. It helps a lot in building up understanding without being daunting. Thank You.

Marco, thanks sooo much for the lesson! The way you teach us is amazing, i'm really enjoyng your lessons! All the best from Brazil !

Marco, I'm curious about tips you have on learning and practicing a song to make it sound so beautiful. I'm wondering how a professional, like yourself, approaches practice time on a song, to get every note beautiful, in preparation for a performance. Maybe, you could consider a lesson on practice tips?

Thanks a lot, Jane. Enjoy the lessons, and welcome to the family.

Try to lower the thumb. It should give you a better stretch. Let me know how it goes :)

The music you teach is beautiful and romantic! I just became a Patreon member and am building a lovely repretoir of fingerstyle music from your lessons. Thank you for bringing something unique to the ukukele community!

Hi Marco, I love this piece and practice it for quite a while now. However, I really have problems with the "mini-barré-chords" in beats 6 and 7. It seems like my middle finger is just a bit too short and I tend to muffle the e-string. Any suggestions on how to improve this?

Hi Gerry. It is mainly free tempo. I used the 9/8 because it felt similar to what I was playing—the first note (dotted quarter note lasts for three beats). The dotted half note is six beats. Count slowly (use the reference BMP on the tab). Let me know if this helps. I wrote the tab after I recorded the video. Otherwise, I would have mentioned that in the tutorial. Sorry.

Thanks for watching the video, Lynn. Yesssss! We are building a uke family here :)

Thanks a lot, Sandy. I read this comment with a smile on my face as yesterday we watched a movie on Netflix with a guy called Sandy and everyone was laughing at him because Sandy is mainly a name used for girls. Sorry, completely off-topic hehe. Enjoy the lesson.

You are welcome, Glenn. Enjoy the lesson.

Thanks Ian.

Thanks a lot, Jean. Enjoy the lesson.

Hi Marco, Great piece and great lesson. I struggle a bit working out how to count the time signatures. Could you give me some clues please. Thanks.

SWEET Suite!!! Such a profound pleasure to be part of the ukulele family.

Marco, This is a great lesson. You've done such an excellent job explaining the theory and the structure of the piece. Your graphics are super helpful. I love the piece and I appreciate how accessible you've made it. Thanks so much.

Spanish pieces are so beautiful. Along with classical and Celtic pieces these are what attracted me to learn to play the Ukulele. Thanks for another inspirational lesson and for including the Guitar Pro file 👍.

Marco, I so look forward to your music and teaching each week . Thank you once again.

The music and your playing are beautiful. Thank you so much for including both the theory and which fingers to use on the left hand. I can't wait to try this. Your method of teaching is excellent!
