Everstone Daycare v0.11 - Demo Release

Howdy everyone!

A shorter post this time as I'd like to move my thoughts, personal updates, and future plans for the project to the Progress Report I will be posting soon. That might be the format I'll be going with from here on, so that the Demo posts aren't too cluttered. It's only a small update this time, as I'm trying to shake off the last bits of my creative block.

Install Instructions

Due to the increasing size of the project, the file will now be hosted on my itch.io page for the game [password: guilmon731]

Please extract the game folder to your directory of choice, and then run the 'Everstone Daycare.exe' file within to play the  game. Enjoy!

Please note for the Mac version that this is not a signed app, so you may encounter an error  when first trying to open this program. Please follow the instructions  on this support page to work around this.

Disclaimer

Any saves carried over from previous demos might cause issues when playing through them in the current demo. In the event that any flags, variables, and other data were changed in a scene after you had completed it already in your current save file, you might not be able to access the new content. Creating a new game file is advised.

Known Issues

• Using Chapter Select to go (Day1-Morning1-NoCutsceneSkip) plays the Day theme momentarily before switching to the proper BGM track

Changelog

• Added a content disclaimer before the title screen. (WIP)
• Updated the sections of the intro that introduced the different parts of the UI to reflect the current layout.
• Updated the Activity Room segment of the intro to introduce you to Nurse Weavile, Lucario, and Arcanine.
• The Trash Room, and Playground Entrance rooms are now accessible (and consequently, both sections of the Playground as well). The Playground Entrance and Playground rooms are still only accessible during Free Play as the doors leading to the west hallways are blocked off during normal play.
• Added a new scene that plays when you enter the Trash Room for the first time that introduces you to Trubbish. As with all side-content, this will only be available on Day 2 and onward.
• Updated the Trubbish's introduction scene when you first visit the Storage Room, adding new dialogue choices if you've already visited the Trash Room, and changing his display name from 'Janitor Trubbish' to 'Trubbish'.
• Added flavor text when interacting with different objects the room for the east hallways. (WIP. Likely to change as we update the background art in the future.)
