Everstone Daycare - Text Scrolling Sound Effect

I've implemented a very simple text scrolling sound effect that plays whenever words appear in the text box and wanted to get everyone's opinion. I know this wasn't explicitly on my to-do list, but I've had a stray comment here and there asking if something like this was possible. Initially, I assumed not as this wasn't something built into the program itself, however some quick googling proved me wrong.
Unfortunately, there are a few quirks with this implementation that I'd rather not be there but otherwise had to accept.
- Because of the way it's implemented, the rate at which the sound effect plays isn't tied to letter/word appearance like I'd like it to, but instead is a fixed loop that continues to play until the text is finished scrolling. That means that the sound effect plays just as fast and ends up sounding less natural even at slower text scrolling speeds.
- Because of where the sound file is stored, it is placed in the same umbrella as other sound effects, meaning lowering the volume of sound effects also reduces the volume of the text scrolling sound. I'd rather it have its own way of adjusting its volume, but I can see how this could be a good thing.
With that out of the way, what do you guys initially think? Is it too loud, or would you rather I change the sound effect to something else? Your comments and feedback are appreciated. I intend to implement this in the next demo, and any future releases if it's received well enough.
