Everstone Daycare - $10 Patron Reward Question
Added 2022-02-12 14:45:01 +0000 UTCHowdy $10 Patrons! I've been thinking about the rewards I've listed as benefits for supporting me at this specific tier, particularly this one:
'Early-access viewing of illustrations, sprites, and other artwork to be included in current project/s.'
This benefit was written prior to deciding on collaborating with Spooky on our current project 'Everstone Daycare' and agreeing on the way we would create assets for it, i.e. creating only colored sketches for everything first and finalizing everything once it's all been made.
Both Spooky and I are the type of artist to not typically show unfinished sketches of our work publicly (this project has been one big exception for the both of us so far) and don't normally deem them worth posting. However that means that $10 Patrons will not gain any value from the patron benefit stated above until we begin finalizing the images several months later.
My question to everyone is: Would you guys be satisfied if we release the sketches (including posting any updates to them in the future if there are any) in the meantime or would everyone prefer I remove that benefit and lower the price of the patron tier until we begin finalizing all the different art assets? We've both become comfortable with releasing our unfinished work, especially for this project, so that part is no longer an issue at the moment. I appreciate everyone who is a patron at this tier purely for the sake of wanting to support me and/or the creation of this game, but I do want to make sure I feel like I'm earning everyone's support.
