It’s here! After a pretty intense last few days, we’re proud to present the Everstone Daycare Systems Demo! As explained previously, this will just be a small demo showcasing the UI, game systems, and a small bit of gameplay to give everyone a feel for what’s to come and an idea of what the game is going to shape up to be. It’s also a great way for me to collect feedback from you guys as to what parts you liked, what parts you would prefer to be changed, and to find any bugs and issues that I may have missed.
Please note though that all the artwork present in the demo is still just a rough draft and isn’t representative of how it will look in the final game. The events that occur will also not be canon to the main story that we will be creating for the game.
In the demo, you’ll find a short introduction to each of the UI elements, and the game systems and how they affect the map/gameplay. After the tutorial, you’ll be able to freely explore a small portion of the map (about 7 rooms) and interact with all the elements that were shown in the tutorial. The scope is very small, but hopefully this will be a good and convincing enough proof of concept for everyone.
For the sake of being able to interact with and manipulate the different systems easily, certain characters will be present in areas they wouldn’t usually be in. If characters are present in areas where it seems like it wouldn’t be obvious that they’re there or they don’t fit thematically, that’s the reason why. I hope it doesn’t end up being too confusing.
Without further ado, with art from Spooky and music from Tennet, please enjoy the Systems Demo of Everstone Daycare!
