All Tied Up (Again?)

Eventually, as you move through this world and this life, you learn certain things about yourself. Maybe, sometimes, you learn the depths of your own compassion. Perhaps the bitter experiences in life give you strength to tolerate what you must and abdicate your responsibilities of the rest. We leave marks on the world; in exchange, the world leaves makes on our bodies, and our hearts, however small.

And sometimes, you learn that you have a weird, kinky affinity with ropes that you don't want the world to know too much about. I really, honestly have no idea why: I wouldn't consider myself to be a person who is rife with kinks. I'm actually pretty vanilla. But give me a good length of sturdy clothesline, and I'll play with it for hours, like a stoned-out cat with a ball of yarn. Dare I say it, this might be a "thing."

So thank you all, for giving me a place to broadcast this odd part of myself. I don't think I'm going to be a dominatrix anytime soon, and yes, I know that my fetishes probably aren't as uncommon as I would like to think they are (can the same not be said for all of us?)
