What I Did On My Summer Holidays

It's January, so of course I wrote a game that takes place in August.

This is an attempt to create something softer than my usual stuff - even the anti-establishment stuff is gentle compared to, say, Goat Crashers or Kobold Endeavour. WIDOMH (great acronym Grant) is designed to emulate kids' TV shows: the main characters don't operate on the same level of reality as everyone else, the world is plastic and malleable, the stakes are low (although they feel high to the characters) and everything works out okay in the end.

I'm quite happy with the "use your weakness to charge up your magical powers" bit of the game, I think there's something in that - it gives you a little arc, which one-shot games are often in need of.
