The World War 3 Question - Patreon Edition
Added 2024-11-23 17:17:24 +0000 UTCIn this patrons edition of the programme I examine a question from a listener about the likelihood of World War 3 breaking out in the form of a direct fight between the Russians and the US imperialists. In response to this I make the argument that what will be categorised as WW3 by future historians began as early as 2008 with the Georgia war and has been evolving ever since. I also address the likelihood of NATO forces being directly deployed into Ukraine and remain unconvinced this will happen for a variety of economic, political and military reasons.

I feel a lot more clued in now as to the state of play and possible developments, and the history lesson was fascinating too. Call me a dupe but I guess I just got sucked into the Ritter/Galloway vortex of mania. Of course like you say, nobody can be sure about anything but I think I will sleep well tonight. A pity that this is a patron only episode. People on twitter here in the UK really do think that this is the end of the world and they really could do with your sober analysis to put there minds at ease.
