Denis Villeneuve deserves a shout for his 2010 film adaptation of Wajdi Mouawad's stage play of the same name, 'Incendies' - most of which is an unofficial biopic of Souha Bechara, member of the Lebanese Communist Party & Jammoul, who IRL attempted to assassinate the commander of the r[ght-wing comprador 'South Lebanon Army' by infiltrating his villa and putting two slugs in the scumbag's chest. Miracle he didn't die but as you can imagine she was immediately captured and spent the better part of a decade (1988-98) in a Zionist torture dungeon. It's been years since I've seen the film so I hope the politics hold up well...
