Malthusian Origins

Starting with Malthus and his two essays on population from 1798 and 1806 we then look at how these merged with bastardised Darwinism. The result was social Darwinism, an extremely reactionary strain of bourgeois thought that reflects the profound crisis of the capitalist system after 1860.
