In this second part of our analysis of his essay 'The Intellectuals' we examine the different ways the intellectual layers of the bourgeoisie had been formed in Britain and Germany. We also consider how Gramsci's analysis of the role played by the intellectuals can be applied to Communist Parties in workers states.
