Black October - Part 1

In October of 1993 the final destruction of the legacies of the October revolution was carried out. This event is lost to history in the imperialist countries but has a very real, living legacy in Russia, Ukraine and other former Soviet states. In this first part of our episodes on this we'll be looking at the rise of Yeltsin, the contradictions of the newly capitalist Russia and the confrontation that led to the events known as 'Black October' 30 years ago in Moscow.

Part 2 will be out next week and will deal with the question of the potential civil war in Russia and the road to the 1996 Presidential election.
