With reference to Lenin's brief (but brilliant) article of 1913 "The Working Class and NeoMalthusianism", could you address how much of the wall-to-wall doomongering issuing from the bourgeois media, its think tanks and NGOs, etc., is purely cynical manipulation (I'm thinking about the Climate Change doom Cult and its suppression of economic development in the developing countries plus its slashing of domestic working class living standards) and how much is due in ingrained paranoid pessimism about the survival of such an exhausted system? How much a blend of both (like the seeming inability to stop panicking and imposing grotesquely authoritarian measures during the Covid debacle long after it became clear it's infection fatality rate was vastly lowered than feared)? Sorry for such a long question!
