Washington Bullets - Red Star Bulletin #32

In this episode I look at the real meaning of Zelenskys Christmas in Washington, the sheer brute cynicism of the likes of Lindsay Graham and the return of Oliver North.  I then turn to domestic British politics and Rishi Sunaks proposed attacks on the right to strike.  I conclude by looking at the long term rates of poverty in Britain and why they never actually reduce over the last 30 years.

Episode artwork is 'Winter Evening' by the Soviet Russian artist Viktor Bibikov (1971)

The Clash, great band but with the confused politics typical of men of their class.

Excellent updates as ever. On the compulsory maths teaching point, it is born out a lunatic position that the UK can and should be imitating some Japanese hyper financialised ideal with more of the working population devoted to this career path in a futile attempt to lift the country out of the growing economic chaos. On the practical level, there's a maths teacher shortage now. Straining that demand even further will only see more teachers walking away from the job.

Solid analysis and goodwork fading out before the worst political verse by The Clash.
