Page 432 Completed!

Howdy, fellow Draconiacs!  RazorFox here.

Would you look at that?  I got another page done!  I actually used up some extra vacation time at the day job to take the past week off, allowing me to dedicate some time to my art.  It also helped that this page was pretty quick to draw as the figures were mostly just heads and shoulders, and the scenery was comprised of recycled elements from previous pages.  All that extra work for page 429's visuals paid off!

This page also went through an extensive on-the-fly rewrite.  As I was doing the lettering, which was the last phase of production, I decided the dialogue could have been better, and so as not to create extra work for myself, I had to figure out a way to make it work within the existing artwork.

So, in a rare behind-the-scenes treat, here's the original script:

EONE:  ...And that brings us to this mission.

RED:  It was a search and capture--

EONE:  No, it was a war mission.  We had to nab a Tiger, but you know damn well Tigers are all about strength in numbers and they wouldn't let the so-called "monster" go easily, so you KNEW there'd be a fight and WANTED us involved in it, and you said it was so we could score points with the queen.  What a load of CRAP!  

YOU wanted to score points with the queen, and so you used us to further your career, and in doing so, you betrayed my trust, you had a priestess arrested and stripped of her magick, and you might've pissed off a goddess in the process.

And then there's SAPH!  That girl is smitten with you and would do anything to impress you.  You kept egging her on to the point that she murdered a Tiger in your name and almost killed a second one.  Bet she scored loads of points with you, huh?

This is what you've turned us into.  We were three construction workers, and now we're a convict, a murderer, and your newest enemy.

LADY RED:  Are you done?

My scripts are hand-written and generally consist of exclusively dialogue.  I let that guide the action and I determine where to add a new panel just based on the feel.

So upon typing all that up on the page, I decided I wanted something that would deliver more of a punch.  When I write, Eone usually improvises her own dialogue and she hit me with the "You corrupted us" line.  It was perfect!

Anyway, it's back to the job this week.  Gonna take care of some Patreon rewards and then back to work on the comic.  Laters!
