[X2, FIRST LOOK] Felix was First...

Half a decade has passed since Ody first unveiled the initial concept art for Felix of Xenotype (Image 1). Reflecting upon it now, it's almost surreal to think that it's been five years since the debut of Xenotype: Dreamcatcher.

In the span of those years, a tapestry of titles has been woven: Xenotype: Pursuit, X-Roads: Strive, Kakashi: Murder Dolls, and most recently, Dinoking: Edge of Extinction. Each one a chapter in the saga, a testament to perseverance amidst the tumultuous currents of creation.

It's no secret that Xenotype 2: Instrument of Destruction has languished in the purgatory of development. Countless investments, both in terms of finances and fervor, have been poured into the project, only to be met with unforeseen obstacles that veered it off course. The treacherous waters of collaboration with artists, a realm fraught with risks seldom discussed.

Yet, after an arduous journey spanning five grueling years, a glimmer of hope emerges. A new artist has stepped onto the scene, poised to breathe life into the sequel. Though the path ahead is laden with challenges, there's a sense of optimism, a belief that Xenotype 2 will surpass its predecessor in splendor.

XENOTYPE stands tall as my most successful series, with Esper reigning as its emblematic figure. For the uninitiated, he's a young dreamer turned superhero, endowed with the ability to reshape his very essence after a harrowing encounter with extraterrestrial terror. Creative and unconventional, he embodies the spirit of youthful vigor, casting a new light upon the world.

But beneath his heroic facade lies a complex tapestry of emotions and trials. As a teenager grappling with tragedy and newfound powers tethered to his imagination, Esper's journey is anything but straightforward. Instrument of Destruction delves into the aftermath of Dreamcatcher, as Felix confronts the repercussions of his actions and the plight of his friend, Alex, ensnared in a web of social decline.

The identity of the new artist remains shrouded for now, shielded from the clamor of anticipation. Yet, the progress thus far fills me with anticipation. The gears of Xenotype are set in motion once more, and I invite you to brace yourselves for the adventures that lie ahead.

And always remember, it always rains in Fernweh City...
