Deleted YouTube -- The Path Forward

For those of you who missed the stream last night and may be concerned or curious about the future of Conquest Comics. As you have probably heard by now, I’ve deleted my YouTube channel and I am moving away from that path for promotion.

This does not mean that I am distancing myself from you guys or cutting you off. To the contrary, I am regrouping. I want to get the POWER HOUR up and running properly – that means a proper schedule, a proper show, decent guests, comic updates, etc.

I’d really like to overhaul the Patreon here and increase the quality of this place, update the banners, the artwork, the release schedule, etc. It just won’t be through YouTube anymore. I think we all know that right now, there are too many people there who make a career off my back and trying to destroy everything WE are trying to build here.

This leaves me with severe all-consuming guilt that haunts me every time I have a quiet moment. I need to be successful, not just for me, but for my employees, my family, and you. You’ve all taken considerable heat for believing in me, and I hope that our books will continue to match and exceed your expectations.

I’m not giving up on achieving our dream, I’m not walking away, I’m not throwing in the towel. I am just regrouping and coming at this from another direction. I’m trying to find another path forward, both online and in life.

In April we will be attending a Tartarian Festival and if all goes well, our first official convention appearance should be at the end of April, if all goes well. More information on that soon.

So, what is the plan?

2023 is poised to be a big year for Conquest, it is my hopes that 2023 will be the year 2022 was supposed to be.

1. Conventions. As mentioned above, I want to attend Festivals and Conventions this year. It is my hope that it will help us re-establish contacts and build a network with the local convention scene. My wife, therapist, and friends assure me that once people meet the real Liam, they’ll realize how silly they were to believe all the propaganda. So, I am hoping I can cover up some of the chinks in the armor with that.

2. Hard Press Release. The second part will be the (perhaps foolish) release of the books I had been working on in 2023, and doing so with faith that they can succeed on their merit. It’s a huge leap of faith, but I have all but finished DINOKING, KMD2 has its roughs complete and will be finished in no time, Wonder Island is just waiting on the colors, and I have two other properties that I am looking to finish up development on for later in the year.

3. Grassroots Marketing. This is where you guys come in. Because I’m not going to be in the public eye as much, I need everyone to take a time machine back to the beginning of 2020 where we were all a team and boosting stuff up. That means, guys like Felix using their wrench to drop links for my recent books into chats and you guys being vocal about my releases. We have to pull together as a team and shout. There are only a handful of us, but if every single person “Likes, Comments, and Retweets/Shares” the key posts across social media, if we pool our voices, we can generate hype and create a positive pulse of energy. The more people we can get on board, the better. Success breeds success, and I will be putting a bigger effort into art production, so you’ve got stuff worthwhile to share.

4. Power Hour Production. I want to produce a show in line with Sidescrollers from Screwattack back in the day, a proper stream with decent topics exclusively for you guys the patrons. I will be considering making a harder shift into facebook and other streaming platforms (perhaps like Minds.com, but I am open to other suggestions). We need to find a place that we can make our own and plant our flag. I will be looking into it in the coming weeks. I have a few plans for this already, but it requires me talking to a couple of old friends. I am also desperate enough that I am willing to cash in some old favors to try to get some celebrity guest spots, but more on that later. I want the POWER HOUR to be the most fun you guys have all month, so I am going to do a few scripts in advance and keep ahead of it to the best of my ability. Time to herd some cats.

Right now, the online community outside of our space is negatively focused, and so is my mindset. I want to be happy and share that happiness with you. I want to be enthusiastic and excited about things. I’ve been told over and over, that is what makes the best content. So, that is what I am going to do.

I realize this has been a lot to process but let's all just take a deep breath and do this. We’ve faced a propaganda campaign that’d make the scummiest of commies' blush, but truth, justice, and the Leemway can prevail in the face of adversity. We can do this. I can turn this around and together we can make something bigger and better than before!

Let’s break all the rules and make 2023 the year of Conquest.
