Like, hell yeah, Id absolutely attend trivia night at the pub if yall host it

A Really Cool Rock

This fucking slaps yall

A Really Cool Rock

Oh my god this was so good. I would love to have more of this

Lou

i can’t believe i finally get to this ep and there’s the weird al question. for once my bf’s love of weird al facts comes in handy

chlo!

I don’t know why this show concept is so fucking good. I feel the nostalgia 90s awesomeness

Kitt

Just wanted everyone to know I’m at a bachelorette party and we started playing this organically, none of them listen to this podcast. A nation wide hit

Rai

Love it! So much fun to try and guess, as someone a bit younger, the times were extra fun to find out!

Bryce Book

This whips so much ass

Dan Flynn

I've been thinking on this way too much and have a suggestion: a three tier point system. Five "heroic" points for anyone who guesses it dead on. Three "pity" points for whoever gets closest in the first round, without any hints. One "cravenly coward" point for getting closest in the second round, after getting a hint. Only the closest guess from the two rounds get the appropriate score. As in, if the answer is 1995, and someone guessed '94 in the first round, then '98 in the second, they'd get 3 points from their initial, more accurate guess. This gives a feeling of competition through both rounds, ensures point progression, and allows for tactics of analyzing other players' guesses in order to scoop a 1pt out from someone who would have gotten a 3pt. This will require slightly more book keeping, but I think it adds some spice to this game as it allows for more chances to screw over other players.

Gwilson

This was delightful and got me though my run this morning. I'm also about your ages so it was perfect.

Noelle Steen

When did Chicken Limbo come out?

Katy Howells

I’m around everyone’s age and playing along and failing miserably. 80s baby!

Rachel

I happened to be listening through Trinyvale again in preparation for listening to the upcoming Strahd, and in the Episode 14 short rest they do a little bit of "when did things come out" at 36 minutes in. The bit before the bit!

Khomboo

This was great fun, I'd love to hear more of this . Even tho I only guessed one correctly, dabbing, because I was a teenager to remember it's popularity XD

Batsy Boi

I actually loved this so much

Mack0Lantern

This absolutely rules

Tyler Leidy

When Does The Next Episode Of 'When Did Things Come Out' Come Out: A Game Show We All Now Play

KMLM

I submit that a correct guess should be worth 3 points, a correct answer with a hint worth 2 points, and if nobody gets it the closest gets 1 point, and the players must acquire the hint through a 2/3rds vote. Thus, if no hint is shared, a ‘closest’ could receive 2 points

Patrick Walsh

This was really fun, generally great whenever you do game show formats. Please make more :)

Robin Neuhaus

The Big Mouth Billy Bass wasn’t sold until 1999, though it was invented in ‘98.

Lawrence Craft

Happy pride

Peregrine

the only thing i got right was the 17 again question (complete guess) but i was in the prime age range for hsm

Desiree

Why are we celebrating the end of Skaldova? Murph did you not like Skaldova??? We are in mourning. We need more.

SoupLightning

I don’t know why this was so much fun, but it really was, even though it made me feel very old that the two I got right were both in the 70s

Elizabeth Boskey

I absolutely BEG y'all to do these more often whenever you're hurting to figure out what you should break up dnd court, tortle tank and the like. It's soooo good lmao

EternalSongbird

When I heard the Flintstones met The Thing I thought it was John Carpenter’s The Thing and the Arctic Palaeolithic Noir that played out in my mind immediately was wonderful.

Nikolaus Cox

This was so great, I loved it. Texted the Weird Al question to all my friends.

John P.

This was great! Keep doing it

Ryan Callagan

This is foul. I love it.

Miranda B, Crick DVM

my fiancée’s dislike of this game vs my love of it FIGHT

h moon

You guys really gotta watch the Daniel Radcliffe Weird Al movie, you gotta understand the historical context of Mr Yankovic

Hex Sharpe

Hey guys this is really good but a possible improvement to the format for future instalments would be to include a segment where you guess the Rotten Tomatos user score, or suggest one for things that aren't films.

daddy's special pudding

It's absolutely insane that this got more likes than the last episode of Skaldova, this is the most naddpod shit ever

Logboss

Any other fans of the Lonely Island Podcast here? Not only did they basically play a quick round of When Did Things Come Out this week they ALSO mentioned the Johnny Depp and Olivia Munn film Mordecai!!!!

Jovi89

crass mention on new d20 ep

induceddata

both, baby

Elizabeth Gunn, sickly but cruel

Thisssssssssssssss

Brandon Moody

I find these better when they aren't being so serious about it. Like, if they randomly go into it at the end of an episode they just treat it as bullshitting and it's funny, but when they do it formally, it loses its luster. That's just my take personally. Also, bring back Spellcheck!

Brandon Moody

I loved this also maybe its the high of playing from the comfort of my car knowing no one would here me but I kicked all y'alls asses 😆

Danielle McGarrell

Big mouth Billy bass went on sale January 1, 1999! Woah scandal!

SimpleWater

Monica and Chandler's first on screen kiss was in the episode "the one where everybody finds out" which originally aired in 1999. Murph should have gotten his point.

Cooper Erikson

This is funny because I feel like this is the longest period of time they've all taken something seriously lol

Kamau Lucas

In honor of trinyvale coming back is there a chance for a mixed bag or the patreon bonus ep/short rest for dungeon court week be the short relisten of the Cooking MawMaw ep? I loved you guys relistening to hot bog summer and it’s one of my favorite eps of TV, but never got its short rest. The stuff yall got up to that episode is insane and I’d love to hear y’all’s reactions after so many years

Shel B Kennas 1st fav sprite girl! Wishing a Merry Mariachi to Emily Happy Fucking Bday to Jork hope you both had perfect days

yeah this is peak radio. not that i know what any of this is (except dabbing) but its still fucking beautiful content

super cockler

Knowing the year movies came out is my super power, so this was an all-timer for me. Please make more!

Kaidan Christopherson

I absolutely cannot believe my boy Murph said the date out loud and got away with it

RatPrincess

this one was not it for me personally. Hope this doesnt enter the rotation

Anthony Abreu

I've been listening to Worlds Beyond Number lately (DM-ed by Brennan Lee Mulligan), and they've had a lot of dumb "game shows" in their patreon feed as well 😅 "Bag it or Tag it", where they decide which randomly generated D&D character they're gonna take home tonight, and "Class Action," where they each draft a 3 class team to face a hypothetical scenario. I'm loving all the game show content 😅

Jessy Banninga

I actually really liked this!

Nesve Fowl

Listened with my girlfriend and it was so fun pausing and playing along. I am the same age range as the crew which definitely adds to my enjoyment!

Amelia Campbell

I loved this so much!!! I loved hearing the childhood callbacks for things I didn't remember and got so excited for the things I did (Ashlee Simpson's SNL debut hello??)

BJ Louise

As a Brit born in 2002, I have no idea what any of this stuff is, but this was still a great time

Rowan Stanley

I really enjoyed this but a lot of it did go over my head as someone from the UK born in 1994. It’s interesting to know what made it over here (Big Mouth Billy Bass, Bop It, Friends etc)

Matt Kilsby

do i crush at this or did i take too much adderall

trinacicc

I was just waiting for political scandals and wars. My pop culture knowledge is abysmal

Alexander Meseck

You should pitch this as a live show for Dropout, this is awesome in every way

ViciousWarGoose

This was so much fun. I was guessing along with the crew and was thrilled every time I got one right 😂 loved all the sneak peeks into everyone's childhoods

Stevie

They should definitely make a “World’s Worst Gameshow” collection with this, Spellcheck!, the Biggest Loreser, and any of the other quiz episodes they’ve done

some_fishes

Murph's actual indignation at Jake having a lot of siblings made me laugh so hard

Adrianne Reimer

I nearly spit all over myself when Emily said "happy pride"

roomwithoutawindow

In theory I love this show, but man am I too young for it apparently. Or at least I didn’t get into literally anything until I was at least 10. Who tf is Ashley Simpson? And I know the name Third Eye Blind, but couldn’t name a single song much less a member or when they started dating 😭🤣 Never even heard of the Disney short or film or whatever

Tenkura

This was so much fun to listen to! My serotonin levels have peaked ❤️

Katie D.

Jakey we love it

Andrew Gilson

This might be the worst thing I’ve ever listened to. Keep up the great work!

JustSomeKnob

My grandma was printing out directions until I believe 2010 :,)

Michael Singer

Would be great to post one of these in between each of the shorter seasons or campaigns. Think it would get tiring every other week but this was really funny

Joseph

This was fun to listen to! I would love it if you guys did it between campaigns. I think that would be the best way to keep it going without getting stale/running out of things to guess.

mpopish213

really glad to see some gen z cultural references in this episode. now that’s representation!!

Nicole

And the fact none of the contestants except Jake realized 😭

Beluga

I loved hearing the personal anecdotes to help you make your guesses so fun

Amani Hope

Commenting to show some love for this bit!! I hope you guys do more of these episodes the variety is awesome gang

Jacob Cuendet

You’re fine

Mubeen Khan

We also can't forget the infamous Oprah interview the "Turtles" did for their Coming Out of Their Shell Tour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K53chzo4hWg

Eddie Jentz

Murph giving the answer mid question had me dead 😂😂☠️☠️

Tony K

This really give hollywoo stars what do they know what don’t they k ow let’s find out energy

Alex

I take it back I fucking loved it

Alex

Holy shit. Wow. What a concept!!

thiswayjose

The unanimous and casual murmur of agreement to the statement that big mouth billy bass was a "pre-9/11 phenomenon" made me drop a plate in the sink

FiendishNoodles

Even though most of these are before my parents even met, I’m loving this show

THENONNOR

Finally you stop uploading your D&D nonsense and focus on what people actually want!!

Clement Guardiola

Murph stressfully saying "It's all so arbitrary" is a perfect encapsulation of this show.

David Chapnick

I am SHOCKED how fun this was to listen to 😂

Fuzzy

Not me screaming 1979 in the shower when Weird Al came up, and then choking from laughter at all the 90s guesses. World’s worst, but favourite, game show

Thortron

Emily saying "Happy Pride" for the coming out of our shell tour sent me.

Jonathan Lester

Get this man on the show!!!

Joseph Powell

This is my favorite thing I cannot lie.

fish_parents

Why can't multiple people guess the same year? If someone had guessed 1985 before Jake then he would have to have said the wrong answer even though he knew? Makes no sense lol and this is obviously a very serious game!

Sigurður

Please do more of this! Such a good time and even Murph came around on it at the end, so you know it’s a winner.

Corbett Stovall

I hope they do this again! Guessing when things came out is literally my party trick and it so fun

literatemushroom

I couldn't believe no one before Jake grabbed the '1985' gift from Murph. An incredible moment. Great gaslighting by Murph there.

Brian Edwards

Please bring this one back.

Matt Pearce

This was so much more fun than I thought it was going to be at first. This is perfect for listening to on a road trip and playing along

Nathan Finch

Genuinely one of my favorite episodes

Micah Kathrein

This was absolutely one of my favorite episodes!!! I loved playing along, I’m sure my coworkers thought I was crazy bc I was just mumbling years but it was a great episode!

Liv

Straight up the best episode of NADDPOD yet

Mubeen Khan

SO MUCH NOSTALGIA! I loved this!!

Amy Boyle

Being ‘85 birthday and a fan since college humor days, this is my favorite episode.

Joe Marrone

This sucked so bad and it was my favorite thing ever keep it up guys good work

Taylor Jackson

I loved this and screamed YES out loud when I was correct about when 17 again came out.

Johanna Koivunen

YAYY

Maygan

Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show is an easy one for my 29 year old Boomer ass

Max Herzog

First time wishing I was born earlier so I could get this

Daniel Kishen

This was incredible. Please do it again soon 😂

Martin Brenneman

I will admit, I thought this was gonna be a miss for me, but that was really good!

Mich Blackie

Lil logs

Mrbigboy5

Mrbigboy5

no word of a lie i gasped out loud in absolute delight when i saw this upload

sam s.

Aka "Why am I so old?"

Crystal T

This is some Jake and Amir "Segments" type shit lol i dig it

Peydon Bush

I can't tell what my favourite part of this is: 1. The questioner naming a cultural touchstone that I have absolutely no context for 2. The 3 minutes of half-finished thoughts from each answerer that lead invariably to an incorrect answer 3. The hints attached to cultural events that I somehow have even LESS context for 4. The answer being given, followed by an "OOHHHhh" and then immediately another question with no breathing space This was absolutely terrible and I loved every second of it can't wait for the next one gang

Lachy

I love this silly game show 😂 Scoring suggestion for if you ever do it again: 2 points for getting it dead on, if no one gets it exactly, 1 point for closest guess. Kinda splits the difference between what you did in the main game and the no-score lightning round at the end there.

xatlern

I have a video of Murph dabbing at the Hollywood Bowl from Sunday during the Dimension 20 Show!!! I didn’t know Caldwell was there too 😭😭😭😭

wick

Amazing. Please do this again!!

Craig Weatherhead

This is better than 90% of what you guys are putting out. Definitely should do more!

Corkboard Podcast Network

Lmao Jake sneaking the point after hearing the answer.. Murph deserved the win

Hootie_McBootie

Can't wait for this Feywild Behumia mini campaign

Paul Llama

This!!! I had the exact same thought— Tony was NOT a fan! A tiny L for Murph, if you ask me.

The Fun Yaunt

This was an absolute blast! Would love to have more of it

Riley

This is SO funny

Gabrielle

It would be cool if you guys also did weird facts from history, like when was toilet paper invented etc. Maybe as spin-off episodes?

CoraxArtifex

@Caldwell Actually the first dice we know of come from the "Royal Game of Ur", made by the Sumerians around 4500 years ago. The first 20 - sided die comes from ancient Egypt and is about as old.

CoraxArtifex

As someone born in 2001 I had no idea what yall were talking about basically the entire time but I’ll listen to literally anything you guys release

Jessi Jennings

It's the golden age of Naddpod

Bobby Moynihan

New Coke accident/cover-up so funny.

Gustavius

Murph saying Grand Theft Autumn is frying me

Reasch Fair

Really a testament to just how funny y'all are and fun to listen to that I enjoyed this. This really is the worst gameshow I've ever heard... and an absolute delight.

Goggalor

LOL SAME😆

Meapyboy1234567

oh dang i need to relisten to that then.

Meapyboy1234567

The lesson here is, we are all very happy to listen to you talk about pretty much anything because you are all so much fun 😅

A. Lee. S

Just realized Trinyvale Episode 14 short rest is where this bit originated

Decafybara

listened to this in my car on a long drive and it was awesome

Aiyana

NADDpoles are feasting on their uppercase Ls!

Spaghetti Spawn

Justice for Jark!

Spaghetti Spawn

Beautiful to see him on the other side for once, a true victory (uppercase W) in itself

Spaghetti Spawn

The random game show episodes absolutely kill me every time. I didn’t know so many game shows could exist but I’m obsessed with them all please do more

Bonnie Gager

You know I really didn't think I'd enjoy this much because it's not usually my kind of thing, but it really drew me in. Another success for the 2 Crew

Alexander Powers

Thank you for the best worst episode of the show yet!!! Please never do it again

Axel Ottel

more please!!!

Sydney Cooke

Everything I dreamt it would be! Thanks y’all!

Elandriel

This is the best worst game ever!

Tyler Rountree

the only one i got right was the invention of dabbing 😭

taro !

This show rules.

chophouse

ALSO THE THING. exclaimed out loud JOHN CARPENTER?

Georgia

incredible. I genuinely love listening to you dipshits talk about nostalgic bullshit that I had no part in <333 completely sincerely you Could just do this again id love it your side tangents that go on for an infeasibly long time are maybe my favorite part of this podcast

Georgia

I would honestly prefer one of these episodes per month in lieu of one of the DnD courts.

David

I was so perplexed by the Flintstones Meet the Thing question that I fully stopped the episode for like five or ten minutes to logic it out. Because I knew for certain John Carpenter's The Thing came out in 1982, but it famously flopped upon release. So even in a reality where Fred and Barney would be interacting with a scary alien in an R-rated movie, it doesn't make sense for it to have happened because it bombed so bad. Which then led me to remember The Thing is a remake of The Thing from Another World, which came out in the 50s. The timeline works better, but again, I could not conceive of The Flintstones doing this. And then I reflected on every other wild thing The Flintstones has ever done and, much like Emily, contemplated needing a week or two off just to deal with the bonkers implications of Flintstones lore. All to restart the episode and realize it was about fucking Marvel. Which admittedly makes much more sense but I do think is less interesting overall. Anyway, go watch The Thing. It rules.

commas-and-ampersands

When Murph said, "Tunes," my brain immediately dug up the memory of Homestar Runner on the front page of his website saying, "Toons!"

Alex W.

Emily's soft "happy pride" for the TMNT production "coming out of our shells" killed me

frogwithhumanhands

This is the most dialed-in they've ever been on a short rest. Not a tangent in sight, not a single movie pitch...this is a riveting game show!!

Stella

You need to do this again but have a young MC so all the questions are 00s/10s

Travis Perkins

"I feel like you guys would know Coldplay" would be the sickest burn of my life.

Mark A Miller

I knew the Seventeen again movie because it was the first movie I ever watched on a date. It was me and my girlfriend Sophomore year in highschool

Heroboys

Them dedicating a full episode to this side bit is the best birthday present I could get

Amanda

Two things. Absolutely more of this. It’s so dumb but it’s incredible. And when Murph proposed the one about tmnt…I was primed and ready when Caldwell got so excited so when Emily sneaks in a “happy pride,” I started cackling on the treadmill at the gym. Bravo.

Gman

This was truly a delight and I hope it comes back. I'm right up there in age with you guys so trying to as Caldwell said Slumdog Millionare through my life was super fun.

Michelle Spurgeon

We need 100 more episodes stat gang

Bethany

I hope they got this out of their system and hopefully this will stay out of the short rest, going forward

Melaninja

murph saying the ninja turtles stage show was called "coming out of our shell" and em immediately saying "happy pride" made me snort juice out of my mouth while walking by home from work. #spillstories

kimbo ★彡

The percentage of times I guessed the exact same as Murph was at least 75% omg Let's go gamers (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

Ali Cat

That was great

Dax Motarex

Wouldn't it be awesome if for a mixed bag you shuffled all the games you guys have played in the past? Biggest Loreser, Spellcheck, When did things come out? Maybe a surprise round or two

Abraham Mendoza

Have you tried the wednesday addams subreddit for the tiebreaker of creation ?

E. Filleul

Whaaa, I woke up and saw a reel with Ashley Simpson on SNL and then immediately listened to this… what a coincidence

Majuu

just perfect

Paul Kraus

I have not listened to the episode yet but I already know 47 minutes isn’t long enough I require atleast 3 hours of this

Hashtaggles

I love you guys so much

Paul Kraus

I can’t believe I pay money for this (complimentary)

Hammy

In Shane's elder years, awed whispers followed wherever he went. "Pa-pa," children pled, how does this man remember the lyrics of 'Take Me to the River" so clearly. "Ah, my child, you must mark this for true: He was born in the year... of the Bass."

M Bee

It's absolutely wild how delightful this accidental conceit is as a gameshow. Very fun & well played, y'all. 🥰

M Bee

As gen z I had no idea what anything was, but still found this highly entertaining

CuteBean

I missed the original Bop It, but I got the sequel, the even more 90’s rad Bop It Extreme.

Benjamin P Parson Gomberg

google says big mouth billy bass was invented in 1998 but started being sold in 1999, so I think Jake shoulda got that

Zanna

Loved it, please make this a reoccurring show!

Christopher N

This was so 80s & 90s focused I had no idea what was going on

Paden Sheumaker

And a bonus point for guessing the relaunch

Jae Beezy

It's tough that this is the best non-campaign series

Jae Beezy

Yuuuusss

WesKane, do the patron names seem a lil obsessed with Shaun's hormones

#justice4jake. Should have got 2 points for Creepy Crawlies

Emz

Yes! I had huge Ziplock bags full of rubber bugs and monsters

John Nickel

i have been WAITING !!!!!! for this to come out

froggy

Now, I do genuinely like WDTCO and I love guessing along with them, but I’ll be honest one of my favorite parts is just hearing the 2 Crew bicker

hannah says

I hate that I loved this. I was totally ready to be angry and this was so funny

Andrew Worsham

I only got one right and I need more episodes so that I can redeem myself for only knowing the zac efron question 😂

Jennifer S

What Patreon tier lets me be a contestant on my new favorite gameshow?

Andrea Quinn

it’s absolutely sweeping the nation

alli

for ep2 of this (yes, please serialize this), y'all should do 2 points for exact year and 1 point for closest

Vicky Wu

Do I really like the game? No. But do I like to hear Murph getting picked on? Yes. Yes I do.

Bryan Barton

The big mouth Billy bass actually has been with me my whole life. Same year and month as I was born!

Shane Bonzani

Nevermind I know when billy bass was invented I feel so big brained

Linnea C

I actually knew the boppit one! I met the creator of it at Gencon during the 25th anniversary of it!

Allen S

Creepy crawlers were the coolest! Alone in your room with the windows up is the only way to do it.

Jason Ramirez

I love this because as someone in their 20‘s who barely knows pop culture I truly know nothing about what they’re saying

Linnea C

The playing alone in your room baking creepy crawlers was literally how I spent 50% of my time as an 8/9 year old lol! I remember burning my hand so many times on the metal molds, can still smell the plastic 🤣

Brianna B

This is Ryan Urphy erasure. He has to be the best Murph variant, just by virtue of his stats being 20s across the board.

Benjamin P Parson Gomberg

I want like 4 more of these!

Brigid

*austin powers voice* yeah baby

beefclapper420

i read this before it happened and i was so confused but i still let out a shriek

clerby

happy pride

Alex Mayhem

The power of Murph’s gaslighting is a sight to behold 😂

Connor

I think all of the superheroes that have magic rings or DC right the reason why it's weird it's cuz Hana Barbara had an existing relationship with Marvel and they did consider how contradictory the idea of The Thing Being able to Turn back onto a Human is to his character he Ninja Turtles it down the Streets of New York with the best of them and feels like a monster its just IP over substance

Death To Tyrants

this game fuckin rocks

sage penelopy

As part of the nation, consider me swept.

Spencer Bloom

Sooo, are you setting up a second Patreon for this podcast, or just introducing a higher tier that's all-this?

Thomas Jager

I've never felt more 40 than I feel listening to this game show.

Krystine W.

Unironically the best game show on radio

Lizardcera

These are so fun I love screaming what I think is the answer

Susannah B.

It's so funny what you all chose. Im 1990. So these hit in such a weird way. Especially when y'all are reminiscing about 92 but I also remember bop it quite vividly

Declan Konesky

You can run me over with this nostalgia vehicle any time

Patrick

Hey so unfortunately I'm going to need at least 3 more episodes of this shot directly into my brain cuz I LOVE IT!!! Also, my 2 cents, nailing the year in the first round should be 2 points. Anything else sticks to 1. Calling the shot without any hints is baller and should be rewarded 🙂‍↕️

Josh Owl

I am really bad with dates so this would be my nightmare but, I just want to hear them talk nostalgia.

Glenn Dowdle

Year of the bop-it represent

TwoPuppetsTTV

this was realy fun

Pablo Suria

Not me screaming “1990!” as the answer for the Ninja Turtles live concert question while I’m sitting in my car. I had the cassette recording of that concert.

Katie M

This millennial ass game I love it

Rafi

this and cloudward, ho in the same week, many thanks 🫶🏽

clerby

"he remembers all the years!"

David Power

This is so funny to listen to as a 22 year old Naddpod fan bc it really was a toss up as to what stuff I actually knew about. Like a friend of mine had a bop it that I used to play whenever we were chilling at their dining room table, and I had an easy bake oven my parents fucking hated, and I remember the blood necklaces shit but like, the only reason I know what jncos are is bc of this fucking podcast lmao

The Grinch (feral)

Me too, I was sitting in my car when the Turtles came up and was screaming “it’s 1990!” I had that cassette.

Katie M

Yeah we are gonna need more of this

lloyd hernandez

26:04 lmao

Borgar

I’m with Jake, I think you need to nail it.

Winterbat

Loved this!

Jay Taylor

Murph fully saying the answer out loud and nobody fully calling him out on it is so funny

Ryanne Wallace

I can’t believe they actually did this xD

Winterbat

This may be my new favorite game

Erikguerrero

@Caldwell - According to google, dice were used as early as 3000 BCE

Andie_jay

Umm actually ☝️🤓 Tony Soprano notably lashed out violently when confronted with a Big Mouth Billy Bass, because it recalled his prior dream involving a talking fish which led him to unwelcome revelations. Other characters on the show did enjoy it though

Evan Schmidt

This does not make it any easier to convince my friends to listen to this show 😭

Xander Hromiak

I nailed every single question from the aughts and was wildly off everything else lol

Teo Tamashiro-Harris

I hate how much this is for me, people at work looked at me weird when I blurted out 90 when the turtle question was asked.

Nick

This was freaking awesome. New party game, anyone?

Jenn

There’s a great Jackbox game called Timejinx that has a similar “When did things come out vibe,” but includes historical events, cultural touchstones, etc as well. Highly reccomend!

Ashley

he murphed it

kalejefe

I love it when murph lies

tiff

Echoing the chat — unfortunately we loved this ep, I guess you gotta When Did Things Come Out again!

m.k.esquire

This was fun! I think (unfortunately) the Jeopardy approach of giving the hint in the question might be the way to go. But I genuinely want y’all to do this again!!

Maggie Schaller

i actually LOVE this format so much!! please bring it back every now and then!!

t✨

Could not be happier! Love the format you all choose for it.

Tannictor

My dad (70) has a burn from a creepy crawler set when he was a kid.

Sofa loaf

Normally when Murph talks about how terrible a bit is I totally disagree with him, and "When did things come out?" was the first time I ever actually didn't get it. That said, my faith in their ability to deliver is unwavering CANNOT WAIT to listen to this after work.

Jeff Amellin

Jake deserved 2 points for getting both years

Kork Horf

Absolute. Blast. Can’t wait for the next one!

Kalen Hance

Insane, I was just on google looking at pictures of Bop It (specifically bop it extreme 2) when that question was read lol

Gabby W.

The disappointment I felt when I saw the notification for this short rest can only be compared to how I imagine parents must feel when their kids bring a wild animal into the house.

Evil Grimace

This was a lot of fun! Guessing alongside was great and I was always wrong lol

Bryttany A

oh god, I am so much older than these guys. >.<

Nickopalypse

This was the world’s worst game show, but I did have the world’s best time listening 😂

Raymond G

This was surprisingly functional as a podcast, and game. It is offensive how well this actually works.

Dave 3D Art

You guys! Rule suggestion! What if you each had X number of hints to use over the course of an episode? This is peak content tyty

Justin

I'm so happy this turned into its own spin off lol

Nick English

Emily's "happy pride" made me laugh until I couldn't breathe

Alex Mayhem

This is so exciting

Nat20wife

breathless!

Nickopalypse

🤣😂🤣😂

Murf'nLurph

When did balnor come out

Nick Lerche

Let's goooooo

Martian

Nate P

I think bop it is the first one of these where I actually know what's being referenced 😭😭

Mandy R

The whole creepy crawlers conversation was killing me because when we begged my dad to buy the one that came out in the 90s, he instead produced his old one from the 60s and set it up. And then I burned the hell out of my hand only moments after firing it up for the first time

Pamphleteer

The haters said it couldn't be done!

Can't wait for years from now when the historians look back and have to try to deduce what year "When Did Things Come Out" came out

Jason Petti

As a fellow 39-year old this tickles me in all the right places
