Two performers were required for each character; one performed the character's body movements, while the other used hand movements to control the character's face. The limitations of the technology used meant that actions like picking an object up could not be produced with this method and had to be keyframed. This process allowed the character animation of one episode to be completed in two weeks, as compared to the six to eight weeks keyframed animation was estimated to require for the same length.

I know that Bluster's hand clips through the wall at 9:05 and 9:45 which is why they probably switched to the pink background. I know that King. K. Krule's pupils cast shadows at 12:51. I know that the 3d rigs are not flush against the ground and are therefore floating. I know that DK's teeth show up at what seems like random times. But dammit I still loved it (I watched this show as a kid). Take the biggest tiny L Murph.

I was 6 when this show came out and had JUST been introduced to video games on the SNES and Genesis by my cousin! DK Country, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, A Link To The Past, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Earth Worm Jim, Jurassic Park, Mario Kart… the list goes on for ever! I know it's supposed to be a pun on "love and hate" but there's another word that sounds more similar to "ape" that people talk about the "blurred lines" of a lot and that's pretty uncomfortable

He married Wrinkly and they birthed the current Donkey Kong. Wrinkly died sometime between DK Country 2 and DK64 in which she is a ghost. So Cranky is a widower.

I was a huge Kong Head so I brought a Donkey Kong Country vhs tape so I could share this glorious tv show with my whole class. I vividly remember a scene between Bluster Kong and Candy Kong that made me so embarrassed I hid in the bathroom in shame until it was over.
