The Boys of Summer are back and headed to the semi-annual summer festival Blazing Babe. Mac surfs an RV, Tread ponders his dad, Mavrus lies to his best friends, and Dave discovers his life's passion. Featuring Zac Oyama as Mavrus!
Part Two will drop this Thursday, November 14th. We'll also have Zac Oyama on for a patreon short rest to revisit the insanity.

2024-11-14 19:33:25 +0000 UTCI understand that. I was there when it was weekly and saw that as a huge plus over other shows. It was the golden age for us listeners. Every two weeks is worse for the listeners but I would rather have the podcast go on for more years than have them burnout and stop after a few. I also think the quality has improved and I think it's a result of murph having more time to plan. C1 had a good amount of dull episodes. It just mattered because we had them more often. This is at least how I reasoned my annoyance with the schedule. But I totally understand how you feel.

2024-11-14 18:24:11 +0000 UTCI don't wanna complain about their scheduling. Putting out 9 hour+ long episodes a month is not easy. Some of them are also doing other projects and live shows. Murph has to plan and edit them as well. It's a lot of work. I don't wanna put my actual feelings on here as people will just continue to attack me but I understand their scheduling. Murph was burning himself out for years.

Now the podcast seems to be mostly filler with some actual play episodes. Of course the pacing for season 3 has been off we’ve been listening to it since January 2022 and it looks like we are getting a total of 19 campaign episodes this year. If they were keeping a better schedule people would not be as put off by this.

How is that getting the short end of the stick? A lot of Patreons just charge people for getting the content earlier than others, early access is valuable. Does other people now being able to enjoy this episode really take away the value you got from it?

2024-11-13 16:37:18 +0000 UTCGrow up, as in Maybe that they should use context clues that 1) This is a family emergency (and hey fun fact, babies RARELY come early in ways that arent terrifying or allow for you to anticipate it) 2) NADDPOD is currently scrambling to provide content to everyone when they werent anticipating it happening SO SOON, they banked episodes to provide him time off but that pat leave started early due to a medical emergency. 3) They're people who yes we pay for content but maybe the one time out of the almost 6 years they've been doing this have a massive EMERGENCY (i keep harping on this point bc peoples "I wanttt" do not supercede peoples "I needed to attend to my family") we can give them grace and go "oh thats cool we are getting a re-release that gives us NEW content too!" 4) "So long time mixed bag listeners are getting nothing new for a month?" is not a question asked in earnest, they didnt say "is there a plan for a mixed bag this month?" they said that people who have been subscribed for a long time get nothing, which is also false because they already announced short rest for blazing babe which didnt already have one. 5) If it's that big of a deal to you or them, unsubscribe for the 2 weeks you'll be impacted and do it quietly because again this is something that occured due to a MEDICAL EMERGENCY, so if you're bummed out do it on your own time because i'm sure they were concerned for their friends health and the health of the baby over what Meapyboy and steve would be dissappointed about. 6) I hope your employer shows you more grace than you when you have an hour of need. in conclusion, grow up
