I know there have been other cases that have made me as angry as the first one with the DM "trapping" his friend, but I can't think of them, because MAN that made me angry.

The game is split into 2 acts, the first will be for the party to travel to confront the mountain witch and it will only end when all players have revealed their backstreet. The second act is them confronting the mountain witch. So there are games where the backstory is hidden from even the GM but The Mountain Witch is a very specific story
