we address it a bit more in p2. I agree that this is a part of Ben's analysis which I'd like to see further developed. might you have an article or book which you think better addresses the lowered level of R&D in the hydrocarbon industry :)

2022-04-23 15:57:41 +0000 UTCHe made an incredibly, obviously incorrect series of claims that really discredited him in my eyes when he said - “the cost of energy development is prohibitive now… the chickens have come home to roost… operators of oil wells or gas wells found they couldn’t raise the capital or get the labor to increase production so of course there are increased shortages and rising prices.” This betrays a total misunderstanding of energy sector finance and the logic underlying the choices energy companies have made over the past few years.
