Sneak Peek - Some 3D animations I am working on for the next video!

Hey!

So, since the next video is about keitais and about the japanese phone industry, I am working on some 3D animations as b-roll for when I talk about the history of NTT, DoCoMo and how Japan reached the point where their electronics industry was building "galapagos keitais" that were so wildly different compared to what we had in the west that their actual name was compared to the galapagos islands wildlife.

I do not want to post the full script of the video here before the video is out since I am still working on it and I will probably change or shuffle around some stuff, but here are some timelapses of animations I am working on for it and the final result at the end :)

The 3d models that you see here were either obtained using blenderkit or licensed: I might also try and for the first time ever in my basically-just-born blender career model a specific model of DoCoMo beeper myself but we'll see, maybe commercial footage/ad footage is enough without going that extra mile.

But yeah, the animations and camera positioning and lighting as you can see were all me here :' it does take a while to think and animate and render these scenes but I genuinely believe they add a lot to the quality of the final video!

All of these scenes were rendered at 24fps using Cycles on my local computer and then interpolated using machine learning to 60fps. If you have any questions, just let me know!
