Quick August update!

Hello!

Just wanted to thank you for the support as always and give you a little sneak peek into what i am working on as a sign of appreciation for that!

I am currently working on 2-3 projects at the same time, with the one releasing hopefully soon in August being a bit of an in-depth video about PSBBN.

PSBBN was a japanese exclusive PlayStation 2 OSD that was designed to take advantage of the hard drive add-on and network adapter to let you do some pretty cool shit including browsing the web directly from your PS2, downloading games and demos from the internet (they even built a weird PS1 emu JUST FOR IT), check out trailers for upcoming games AND copy music from your minidisc players to your PS2.

It's kind of a pain in the butt to make it run since it requires you have the original PS2 network adapter (which is kinda hard to find here in the EU BUT i did manage to get one) and even software wise it's really kinda convoluted having you restore a raw partition of a ps2 hard drive to an IDE drive and then connect that to the PS2...

The original software is hard locked to japanese consoles and in order to make it work myself I am using a modified region free version that is a bit convoluted to install on a PS2 hard drive.

It's taking some time due to technical difficulties (the IDE hard drive that came with the network adapter turned out to be... dead so I am now replacing it with a SATA SSD + a SATA conversion board to pair with that original network adapter) BUT yeah this is pretty much what should be out in August

I am thinking of publishing an exclusive behind the scenes/ps2 preparation video just for you people supporting me where you will see how to make this work on your PS2 if you want/how much of a pain in the ass it is, as a thank you for actually helping me make all of this work!

I did not post any extra videos in July due to me being out of the country for most of June and also the eeeStick not really having any real extra content I could show you connected to it: I try to always give you something extra here but sometimes it just doesn't work for some videos...

Maybe I will start posting some more behind the scenes showing you how I work with 3d animations tho since a lot of people have been asking me info about that and I am happy to share!

That said, thanks again for everything and I hope you will be able to see what I am working on right now very soon!

oh oh oh! i bought one of these recently after finding a PS2 linux disc and having morbid curiosity to try it. i had to buy a special video thingy though (GBSC?) because the component to HDMI cables don't support sync on green, if you can get a copy i recommend checking it out too https://imgur.com/a/E4Pc1tg

Oh wow, i just learned a few months ago about PSBBN and was amazed that it existed way back then. I always remember seeing Sony and Realnetwork making a deal to have Realplayer included with Ps2 to stream music and movies, but we never received it. PSBBN i guess is similar to Snes Satellaview (Japan exclusive "online")

Oh wow, I did not expect to see anyone talking about PSBBN. The reason why I haven't changed my hard drive to the modern OPL version where you just drag and drop ISOs is because I have BBN set up and it was a pain in the ass to do that.
