Hello!
Just wanted to drop you a quick update here about the next project and thank you again for the support: your money is helping me be on track and do what I love even when AdSense alone can't cover most of the expenses and time that go into making my videos and I cannot stress how grateful I am for all of this.
My Windows desktop computer suddenly having all sorts of issues was slowing me down a lot but thanks to you I am getting back on track faster than ever!
Not only that BUT
Because of this and because of optimizing my production schedule in general without sacrificing quality at all, I want to announce I will be trying (without burning myself out of course) to post more often on the channel, shooting for a monthly schedule since that seems realistically doable at the moment.
So, let's cut to the chase:
the video is now fully scripted, production is going swiftly and I don't want to spoil its topic completely but I will say it's at least technically about RenderWare, even though the story is a bit more convoluted and intruguing since we'll be touching on EA, Konami and a bunch of other stuff :3
I am 40% done with the editing right now and I would like to post this video around mid/end January.
While technically speaking it is being be a bit more complex to put together than usual (I have attached a screenshot of some footage I chroma keyed) I think this is going to be worth it for the bump in production quality alone!
I also attached another screenshot showcasing some of the upgrades I am doing to some of my virtual aerial shot: I am trying to get away from using generic Google Maps/Earth stuff straight out of the screen capture and leaning more into some unique style with coloring and virtual film noise in order to make sure no scene ever feels dull and you instantly both get the idea of where what we're talking about in the video happened AND also feel the vibe of the era, if that makes sense.
After the video is published, since some of you asked me more info about the process of making my videos, I will publish some more in depth behind the scenes here about the entire process, including the whole script with all the chapters and notes and all the research I have done for it fully accessible on a published notion page, along with some screen recordings with my commentary to explain some of the editing! I really would love to share all of that with you and it's the least I can do as a thank you for all the support!
Also, this will be my first video to have the 7.20€ "HD resolution" patreons listed in the credits, so you can look forward to that too as yet another thank you for your support!
I will now be back to editing and I hope to be able to share the final result with you as soon as possible!
Thank you,
fami
