Progress Report

Greetings, everyone!

As mentioned before, I'm now entirely focused on the music for the first version of Supermodel, trying to keep the ball rolling while it still has momentum. 

The two tracks I discussed last week are complete and fully working in the game. I'm delighted with how they turned out, especially the orchestral elements.

Since then, I have both started AND finished an entire track. This one is special because it is a classical piece of music you've all heard before. Like the abovementioned music, this one will appear in two different versions. In the game, these songs will serve as Anna Morgenstern's character theme, at least early on. 

The sad thing about this track is that I had actually previously licensed a fantastic rendition with vocals and everything. However, with the way the music licensing sites have been cracking down on using their music in pornographic content, I realized that I didn't want to take the risk of using it and ending up in a similar situation to Long Live the Princess, held back by its use of licensed music with problematic licenses. As a result, I made my own version of the song from scratch to save myself the headache. This comes with the added bonus that I can put the song in a separate soundtrack at some point.

I don't want to tell you exactly which piece of music it is yet, but I can tell you that the version I just finished features nothing but hauntingly beautiful pianos and a solo Stradivari cello. I will now move directly into making a different version of the same song, for which I plan to use a full orchestra. This should be good.

I will eventually post previews of some of the music, perhaps limited to the higher two support tiers on Patreon/SubscribeStar. But not yet.
