Development Update (09.10.2022)

Hello, my dear friends!

After working our collective butt off for the past few months, we've finally released the third update of VU to the public! How do you feel about it? What girls did you like? Do you have any theories as to the mystery that might be unfolding within VU? Big or small, we would love to hear your feedback! Even if we might not be able to reply to them all, we read each and every bit of feedback we get. Our team worked so long on this one and we never released so much content at once before! So we're anxious and excited to see how it will be received. All in all, this is what you can expect from VU for the foreseeable future—big and polished updates that you can really dig your teeth into! We have a specific vision for the game and want to give it the time and love required to truly make that vision shine. This is in contrast to FL, where the speed of delivery is the focus and that sadly makes it so that sound and other "extra" features need to be added later. Your undying support is what allows us to do this! And after so much work, it is super important for us to hear what you think!

Beyond that, we are already hard at work on the next update, but today I wanted to specifically talk about the game structure of VU. When we first set out to design VU, there was a huge, grand plan spanning multiple different choice branches, and now with this update, you're finally catching a glimpse of what it is. Of course, the main theme of the game is the College-Detective story. But there are 3 sub-themes within the game that you will run into while you work to unravel this mystery.

Now, you might be asking, "What are they?" Well, they're the 3 different groups that you need to investigate, of course! Each comes with different themes and characters and philosophies, and as you venture deeper into the story, you will notice the difference! And, as you might've already noticed, you get the option to investigate all 3 groups in this update, however, you were limited to only two investigations out of the 3.

Don't worry! You didn't lock yourself out of the 3rd group/investigation. It's just that you've run out of time—for now. So you need to make wise choices that you think will further your cause, because in the end, you're only human, and you can't investigate everything before time runs out! But the choice of how you want to shape your game is still left up to you with how you can investigate the themes you like the most—or think are the most suspicious!

Also, you might have noticed that after you choose to investigate a group through the investigation board, a little plaque with the words "Part 1" appeared in the middle. This is because we plan on creating 5 Parts of the story for each group! So you have plenty of content to look forward to!
