The world-building and story-telling aspect of one piece is one of the main reasons it's kept such a huge audience for 25 years and 1061 chapters so far.

2022-10-05 16:13:43 +0000 UTCfun fact: the old guy in the bar was an anime-only character (although I think he might be anime canon?), and luffy saying he doesn't drink alcohol was added by toei without them realizing that luffy would drink multiple times later on in the series
