nah this isnt true, araki orinigally wanted fugo to be a spy working for the boss and he would eventually fight them and have giorno kill him, but since he was depressed at the time of writing part 5 he thought this would be too sad, and just made him leave the group instead.

He actually did what n one in any anime, movie, tv show, or horror movie EVER has the brains to do when bad shit starts happening "get the hell out of there before they end up dead too" lol
