When I was working on the covid collection (I.e painting while I had covid) I did this one study where I really liked the idea but I felt the overall painting could improve.

Iβve honestly been feeling a little down in the dumps lately. And the other day I was feeling especially useless and gloomy. So I looked up some nice costuming to try to paint this idea again.
And Iβll probably put it in photoshop or something and rework it there before making a finished version of it.
In general thatβs kind of where I am in my art life.
I just want to paint and everything else feels overwhelming.
Iβm trying to get back into my routines of making videos for yβall. And Iβve been making some progress.
I have 2 that Iβm editing, 1 that Iβm writing and another one that will be more of a demo type video which I wonβt have to write as much for.
Plus a bunch of footage that Iβll probably make Timelapse videos out of, but I just need to create some sounds for them.
But I just feel like painting needs to take the front seat for a little longer.
There have been some βcareerβ type things going on lately that have served as a reminder that making art should always come first.
This journey of trying to βmake itβ or whatever is a part of the process, and I will continue the hike up that mountain.
But making good art is the only thing that I can exert any meaningful control over.
I am grateful to every member of the Choir for supporting my work by being here. I put in a lot of work to try and make it worth it for you.
Hereβs a praying mantis I saw the other day.
