Nightshade is... a bit of a dick. A huge dick. With barbs. And that's why he gets away with being such a huge asshole.
He'd like to think that he was Plaisir's bad boy now that Eclipse is a thing of the past. He'd like to. And he can certainly talk the talk... and with a large masochistic snake like Hemlock (who is very protective of his pain-daddy's bad attitude,) backing him up, no-one is really willing to push back against him.
He really could use knocking down a peg or two...
...but for now, he can hold on to his illusions of being the master of the night.
