Writing Update #2

Now that is is complete, I wanted to give you guys a quick update on the plan. We're going to take two weeks off, to let me get situated.
Up next is Cold Wind, Book Two of Ironbound.
I'm really excited for this one, I think you guys are gonna like it.
After that will either be Present Day, Book Six of the Debt Collection, or Bloody Sands, Book Three of Ironbound, depending on the deadlines form my publisher and how quickly I get everything done.

I know your reasoning was because of the current covers performing better, but I doubt that would be the same with limited edition copies. Unless it is, in which case idk.

Also if you haven't considered it, when the entire series wraps up, could you think about doing limited edition covers? Would definitely buy! I remember you saying that you might release the original cover designs for these books as Limited Edition and that sounds amazing but also as some Authors do, make a picture along the spines when they are all lined up? Just ideas, this is a favourite series of mine 😅

2025-08-27 02:59:12 +0000 UTCI Have one last theory for now (hopefully) There are no links (that I can tell) between the name Kane and the grim reaper. We know that Kane is, however, mortal, and is probably the oldest of the seals, since none of the other could really exist without mortals, which requires death. Hence, is it possible that Kane, is actually Cain, as in Cain and Abel. Cain was the first person to murder, and was punished as a result. Despite this, it is said that God would punish anyone who harmed him. This could be why Azrael works so closely with Kane, much closer than any others in the death board, and why Azrael came to defend the veil against Aite. Hell, we know that Kane can’t travel to the underworld, but he can go to the underworld side of the veil (we know that the veil is partially in the underworld, thanks to Janus’ key), but he can go there just fine. We also have not seen him in the living world. It’s is implied that he could in SD, since the reason he didn’t get summoned was because he was worried that Matt would try to kill him, but Lilith didn’t seem to get the choice of whether she was summoned, so why would death. Unless, God decided not to allow Kane outside the veil, living world or underworld, which is exactly what happened to Cain. He became a wanderer, forced to make his own land. The one flaw with this is that there is no mention of the land of nod in DT or SD. However (and this is a stretch) it could be the veil. I doubt that anyone in the underworlds remember the veil. Megan sure hasn’t mentioned it, even if we haven’t seen much of her. The land of Nod (Cains city near Eden) is often called the land of sleep, which could link to death, and most dreams aren’t remembered. Hence, is the Veil were a temporary place of death, a calling card to tgw more permanent underworlds, and wasn’t remembered after leaving, you could almost call it a land of dreams. I personally don’t believe the last part, but the rest of it make sense. Why would Andy just so happen to make the Death guy named almost perfectly after the first Death guy. We know that he’s fine with name changes which hide one’s identity: Ezra, leviathan, The overseer, etc There is also a chance that this was way to obvious to mention, and I’m just late to the party :/
