Early Access: Bomber Pilots Talks About Flying a WW2 Bomber

At Oshkosh I ran into Mike Mainiero and Emmy Dillon who both fly a B-25 Mitchell bomber. Long story short, they volunteered their time to give you an overview of the cockpit and describe what is is like to fly this WW2 bomber! Hope you all enjoy it, let me know what you learned and thought of this episode and please also extend a thank you to our two amazing guests in the comment section of the video! I am sure they will appreciate it a lot!

This B-25 is "Miss Mitchell". She will feature on Inside The Cockpit soon - more info on her can be found on the CAF MN Wing website: https://www.cafmn.org/

Dual engine rating, gotta love it eh! Nice opportunity to get an aircrew interview. They have one at Camarillo Airport, sometimes their B-25 and a few other Confederate Air Force planes fly over the house. It sounds like a Harley Davidson motorcycle!

Hey Steve, she’s a fantastic bird! Yes, I was - leaning into the cockpit via the side window

Great video! I've seen Miss Mitchell at Oshkosh for a number of years, and have been impressed at its condition. Good to see it take part in the warbirds portion of the airshow too! Quick question: were you on a step-ladder just outside of the cockpit for the interview?
