Early Access: In Defense of The P-63 Kingcobra

The P-63 Kingcobra was fast, maneuverable and had immense firepower. On paper, it was a serious competitor to the P-47 and P-51 - yet the United States Army Air Force decided that the plane was not for them. Let's discover why!

(Apologies for the "late" early access release on this video. The scheduled release to you had a date error and I didn't pick it up over the holiday)

Thank you for your support, let me know what you thought of this episode!

The fuselage has a similarity to a UH-1! Overall, it was a smaller aircraft I suppose. Front line tank killer. Agree with Chris's assessment.

Thanks very much, did not know much about the P-63. Always need to remember that a specific aircraft need not "fail" as an aircraft but for practical reasons was not further developed. Perhaps a future topic for discussion the VVS's use or rejection of American designs like the P-63 on the Eastern Front.
