Has anyone checked the calendar? Well I did and noticed, it's about to be the 1 year anniversary for the Stukabook! To be exact, it will be 1 year tomorrow March 16, but lets leave the German pedanticness aside and focus on the important thing: one year ago we signed off on the final manuscript for the book and now it is time to celebrate!

From today March 15 to March 20 we have 25% off* the Stukabook if you order straight from this link: http://stukabook.com

(*19% in Canada, sorry that's a limitation of the printer...)

If you don't have the book yet or are aiming to get one for friends and family, now is the best moment to do so!

In related news, a new early access video is here. Hope all of you enjoy. I use part of the data from the Stukabook to answer the question: How accurate was the Ju 87 really? The answer might surprise you!

Ok, that's an overused cliffhanger but let's make this an interactive experience. How about you let me know in the comments the maximum distance in meters/feet you think a pilot had to be from a target with his bombs, and what his average distance was to be. Then compare that to the numbers in the video!

Big thank you for all the support
Chris

Awesome! Hope you enjoy it :)

Military Aviation History

Stuka Book arrived! Very well manufactured. The "Read First" is an absolute must. I appreciate and welcome the writing and translating style and would find awkwardness a benefit for being a genuine product. Now, lets get started!

Thanks so much, Frank! Enjoy it :)

Military Aviation History

O'ye, just ordered your book. It has a long flight to good 'ol USA.

Frank C

Good idea, i wonder if there is data on this

Military Aviation History

Before I found this file, I would most likely also assumed it was less. After writing the book, I think these figures are broadly representative for all dive bombers. It’s been eyeopening

Military Aviation History

Can you compare the Stuka's capabilities to those of dive bombers used in the Pacific theater such as the U.S. dauntless and Helldiver and the Japanese Val?

Rick Ashcroft

My initial guess was half of the actual number for the 1st Group. Thanks for the reality check!

Rick Ashcroft

Thanks, Timothy! Hope you’re well.

Military Aviation History

Thanks again for a great book, a model of translating primary sources for understanding aircraft doctrine, crew training, and operational performance!
