February Update

It's February already! As always time flies. Here is a bit of an update of what is going on with the Channel.  First off, I've just released a new video. Make sure to watch it here. Sadly, the YouTube algorithm gods have not blessed the last two videos and they have received very poor views although the feedback was very good. If you enjoyed them, please consider sharing them with friends, on social media or on forums.

Thank you for submitting all the great questions for the next Q&A. A final date will be confirmed soon. If you want, you can still submit questions here.

The past couple of weeks have been very busy. Much of my time is spent on finishing up my book, which gets closer to the final draft with every day but somehow always kicks up a new task. Finish two, and suddenly one more thing pops up. However, I am confident that we will reach the March shipping ETA, as we are so close. I can almost feel the final print in my hands!

Next to this I am currently working on two videos as well. The first release, end of February, will be on Nuclear Deterrence and SAC. It's a massive topic and while I can't cover everything, I think it will be a very interesting video to watch. Second video I am working on is on the Messerschmitt Bf 110, a plane that has a bit of a bad reputation but I think deserves a second look. This one is for the beginning of March.

So, what--next week, then? ;)

B-47, without looking up the plane, was the inspiration for Boeing 707 right? Have to appreciate that Jimmy Steward movie where he is the B-47 pilot.

Take your time. We have been steamrolled by a challenges in 2022 all of a sudden. Stock market crash, ruptured appendix. It's a perfect excuse to watch videos. I had surgery in Leuven Belgium in 2005. No videos then. I had a WW2 book collection in the room. The trip turned a little surreal. I found a 105mm shell and took it to a small museum. They told me to set it down and they called the bomb squad. I didn't stick around.

Great photo of a B-47. My father once got a ride in one which frightened him by "flapping its wings like a bird" in low-level turbulence. It smoothed out beautifully at altitude, he said, but he refused any further offers to come along.

Thanks for the update, Chris. I'll check out your last two videos on the off chance that I may have missed one or both. I'm very much looking forward to the next two, especially the one on the Bf-110. I've always thought that it was initially a good design, but perhaps became overtaken by newer designs and technology. But I'm sure you'll have all the answers!

Plans yes, but I have a topic list with over 300 video ideas atm :D

Any plans for videos on planes from between the World Wars?
