Hey,
Here is your early access to the next episode, coming out next week! This one is full of primary sources I found in the archives, can't wait to share it with everyone :)
Remember, you also have the following videos still in Early Access as well:
DH Sea Vixen https://youtu.be/-GpYBEve-1U
Hawker Sea Fury https://youtu.be/7VgvHddwYuw
Hope you enjoy,
Chris
No word on that in the file, I am afraid (iirc). Given the date of early 44, I also think part of the info is based on 43, where afaik escorts were very rare in the Pacific for long range missions.

Were the heavy bombers missions you talked about usually escorted by fighters? Based on the game videos shown it looked like the Japanese fighters didn’t have to take into consideration for their tactics the presence of enemy fighters. Great video!

American pilots generally considered those cargo missions as highly dangerous. The flights over hump were not considered milk runs and comparable to combat missions. I heard a transport pilot say (gallows humor) you did not have to navigate, but could just follow the trail of crashed airplanes over the Himalayan mountains.

Each of those signify a successful flight over 'the hump'. That was the nickname for the eastern part of the Himalayas, and flown for cargo missions to China during WW2
