Sneakpeak + Bonus Documents

Hey all,

Above a little sneakpeak for the upcoming video on the Me 262. As a supporter bonus, I've added a document on the aircraft, as well as a wallpaper from the video here:

Of course, the majority of the manuals on the  262 are  - no surprise - in German, and sometimes protected by copy rights (Archives etc). However, I found what appears to be a shortened but translated copy of the Me 262 that you can find here: https://www.spruemaster.com/wp-content/gallery/manual/Messerschmitt-Me-262_Me_262A-1-Manual.pdf

I've also added another wallpaper to the supporter album.

To keep up to date with part of the video schedule, check this previous update.

Once again, thank you all for the support and I hope you enjoy the videos.

Chris

Hey Timothy, yes, definitely. I am currently also looking more into Schlachtflieger and it's interesting to see those early Jabo developments

Military Aviation History

Probably one of the most influencial books on what people think the Luftwaffe did/did not do during WW2!

Military Aviation History

Yep. I read The First and the Last in that paperback version in high school in the 60's.

Great video Chris. I first came across the myth when I was in school and read Galland's book. (It was available in paperback by Ballantine and sold for 75 cents.)

Hi Chris, thanks very much for analysis, always appreciate the quotations from original German sources. I will be giving a talk on the Battle of Britain later this spring, one analogy that occurred to me was the selective use of the Bf 109E from 2. September 1940 as a Jabo, apparently modified E-4s and factory-made E-7s, one Staffel of each Gruppe,. According to Galland, many were used simply to drop nuisance bombs over London through October. But it establishes at a relatively early date the dual use of the 109 model as both fighter and fighter-bomber. Thanks again!
