Upcoming Videos update
Added 2021-01-18 17:48:57 +0000 UTC
Hey all,
Soon I plan to releasing a few videos into early access but until they are all done, here is a little update.
- The walkaround video on the Hawker Hurricane is nearly complete, the P-47 Thunderbolt is close behind.
- The Inside The Cockpit episode on the Mirage III was pushed back a bit due to the difficulty in getting the cockpit information right (see here for more) but should be completed soon.
- A long format video on aircraft armament is in the works. It will be a bit more simple in presentation than usual but be about twice the length of the usual videos.
- Another chat with Justin Pyke on the P-39 will be edited as soon as the Hurricane and Thunderbolt are done.
If all goes well, the Hurricane will feature as a video this week. If not, it will become part of another early access package later on.
Looking forward to sharing this with you!
Thank you for the support,
Chris
It's impossible to make a definite statement but I would say that overall the similarity has more to do with the type of engine and design, rather than a conscious effort

Does anybody know if the designer of the FW190 (Kurt Tank) was influenced by the Japanese A6M Zero given that they look remarkably similar? or is it simply that given a design specification of anything, two unconnected designers will deliver something looking very similar!

When I got close to one, I was a bit surprised at how small it seemed

Swordfish is planned, P-26 not yet but it's a possibility in the right format.

Great. I think the Hurricane and P 39 are under-valued. I know you are swamped...but I was thinking an interesting video could be made on technically obsolete aircraft that performed well or unexpectedly well. The Biplanes against the Bismarck and Toranto ,or the P26 in the Philippines come to mind ..but I'm sure there are many examples that I'm not aware of.
