Willy Messerschmitt vs Heinkel He 162
Added 2020-11-20 22:28:44 +0000 UTC
Hey all,
Here is your early access to an upcoming episode. In this video I take a look at a Statement sent by Willy Messerschmitt to the Luftwaffe about his reservations about (or rather opposition to) the production of the Heinkel He 162.
There is no scheduled release on this episode yet as it is one of three videos I filmed with the help of archive files. However, I release it in early access today as next weeks release will be a sponsored video and thus might not be released as early as usual because it will have to be signed off by the sponsor and people involved.
December 3rd will see the walkaround on the Heinkel He-162 of which you also see footage in this video.
Thank you very much for the support!
Chris
Thanks Miguel, and noted on the engines. There is something in the works, but it will take some time as it most likely will feature a guest appearance.

Congrats on the video. Really interesting and instructive. I wholeheartedly second Timothy suggestion on engine development in the mid - late 30s. Would love to know more about the topic and all the industrial challenges than had to be overcome

Hey Timothy, happy to hear you enjoyed it. Definitely, I think the developments in the 1930s are often overlooked but are critically important to WW2!

Thanks Chris, excellent assessment. Perhaps in the future you might discuss a similar topic at the opposite end, the question of aircraft engine development during the mid- to late 1930s and its relationship to aircraft types and production, with constant modifications to specifications.

Excellent and rare exploration of the manufacturing and logistical side of the war on the German side. Amazing that

Hi, Chris,
Thanks for such a clear and thorough look at the production situation. And of course I love seeing your videos. It's also always an extra treat when we get to sneak a look at even more aircraft in the camera frame. :)

Excellent Chrs. Am always struck as child of allied side what the psychology must have been for decision makers who must have known defeat highly likely..weird to the thinking of better or worse choices when the result canโt change th outcome
