Channel Update - New Books

Hey all,

Third round of book purchases from your support. This time I 'accidently' ended up in a store and left with three bags full of books.

Thank you very much!
Chris

Something you mentioned in the video might be a good topic for a future production: How French Armee de la Air fighters performed against the Luftwaffe during the Fall of France May-June 1940 and inflicted heavier losses than generally thought.

Richard Goldblatt

By the way, have you ever thought about publishing a book of your own? Sort of like Ian did with his beloved french rifles and Headstamp Publishing? Perhaps on a matter that you haven't found many good books but stumbled upon information in one of your trips to the archives?

And in 30 years Chris will open his own library dedicated to military aviation to the public :D

I would love to see something about inter-war French aviation! My knowledge of that area is pretty lacking. It goes from "excellent aircraft at the end of WWI", to "Caudron racer beats the best of the US in the 30s", to "Luftwaffe overwhelms them" in the 40s, with nothing to give any of that context. I'd really love to get some context.

boy, even though I only buy a few aviation books, I certainly empathize with the lure of new books! The book about Skyhawks vs SAMs(?) is interesting, since I used to work on Skyhawks. Seems like a rather focused topic for a whole book. On the subject of Skyhawks, I've picked up some Skyhawk literature from Douglas and clipped a few old magazine articles about the Skyhawk. They are in a Flickr album... https://www.flickr.com/photos/kurtsj00/albums/72157617660068712

I enthusiastically support your paper hoarding habit.
