Chris - love your channel. Some info about the names of these early RR jet engines: they are named after various rivers in the British Isles. The Nene is named after the River Nene in eastern England and pronounced "Neen" (not "Nennay"); the Avon is a river in the south west, pronounced "Ay-von" with a long "A" as in the words "Say" and "Pay".

Hi, Bis,
Thanks for showing an aircraft from my Dad's time flying (US aircraft). I'm betting that formation of 28 Hunters was the Red Arrows, RAF aerobatic team. I saw them in ... I think it was 1975, at Dulles Airport, outside Washington, DC, at a huge event called Transpo. The showiest part was the airshow, but there were bullet trains, a vertical stacking automat parking garage/conveyor for cars. And the Red Arrows were there, in a big formation, probably 10 aircraft, flying Folland Gnats, as I recall. Our family has 8mm color (silent) movie footage of them. Thanks for reminding me.
