Why Germany is NOT buying the F/A-18 Super Hornet (yet)

Quick 'emergency' episode based on some recent news that Germany will buy the American F/A-18. Although often reported that this is the case, I take a closer look and things aren't as they seem.

I tried to stay focused, but I guess you're not able to scour up eye-catching visuals. You did crack me up with the tiny bit of white text, on a black screen, with elevator music, explaining why you weren't going on a side discussion about the F-35. (I also have a local friend, who served on a US carrier, who says the F-35 is an over-engineered, wrong-headed disastrous waste of money, already. And I kept hearing what sounded like "A-kah-kah," which I knew is Germany's female defense minister. (Full marks to you all, for taking proper advantage of the half of your population, when so many countries don't use theirs.)
