New Experimental Perk

Hey all,

I am trying out a new experimental perk for Channel supports. Often times, Inside The Cockpit has more stories to tell than I can communicate in a single video. Parts that get filmed don't make the cut, I happen to get footage I didn't plan for, or just general bits that I'd like to convey that simply don't fit in the regular format. In the experimental 'Director's Commentary', I'll try to show and share these aspects.

I'm going to have this run as a test for a few episodes. If it catches on with you all, then it continuous. As we go through the next few Director's Commentaries, please let me know what you think about this and whether you find them useful.

Hi, Bis, I like the mix of actual recording from life, at museums or flying demos, and the simulations. I think they complement each other well. By the way, I got some unintened extra enjoyment out of the last sim shot, of the D-7 wit the blue and white emblem. I'm sure it was intended as a stylized eagle or hawk. But look at it again, and tell me if you don't think it looks more like a flying adjustable wrench, maybe an old-fashioned Monke wrench. Quoting Rip Torn's character from "Dodgeball," "If you can dodge a wrench, ..." ;-)

I'm fine with sim footage incorporated provided you feel it's a very accurate representation of the aircraft in question. It shouldn't form the majority of the footage but it's useful to fill in bits where you can't film or as an interstitial to paper over sections.
