Here is your Early Access to an interview I recently conducted with James Halstead (M.A.). The subject was part of James' M.A. Dissertation at the War Studies Department at King's College London and revolves around the RFC/RAF actions in Palestine around 1917-1918. This is a seldom trodden topic and as such quite interesting to hear how Combined Arms worked under Sir Allenby during the battles of Third Gaza and Megiddo.

James Halstead is currently a PhD Candidate at Brunel University. He received the RAF Museum UG research prize and recently presented his work on Allenby and RFC/RAF command structures and involvment at Third Gaza and Megiddo 1917/18.

Very interesting -- I kind of got the impression that Allenby was one of the better British generals during the war.
