Hey all,
About a week ago I asked you all your feedback regarding on your Patreon experience, whether you are satisfied and if anything could be improved. You can find the post here if you missed it (If you want to contribute, entries continue to be open. You can still access the poll and add your comments here or in the original post).
I am very happy so many of you responded and wanted to thank you all. Feedback is critical to provide constant improvements and consistency. It's humbling to see that so many took a moment of their time to send me an account of how you they think it is going.
The basic summary is that there are no major concerns and that you seem satisfied - which also makes me happy. The following is a breakdown of some of the feedback and the poll.
---------
There was one specific suggestion - a (regular) Live exclusive Q&A via a stream as a perk. Please let me know if there is interest for this!?
--------
The Poll came down to this:
- More Updates - 3 Votes
- More Behind-The-Scenes - 9 Votes
- Different Perks - 0 Votes
- Other - 2 Votes
It seems you are all happy with the perks you have. This is good as it was one of my concerns that this was not the case.
As for updates and behind-the-scenes, I will endeavour to provide more without overloading your inbox. Although they sometimes overlap, making them can be difficult. This is not because it requires much effort (just my phone, the wonky Patreon App, and internet access) but because I am not yet in the habit of making them on site. For example when I was filming a C-47 this weekend, I kept reminding myself to make an update on Patreon to let you all know. Eventually, after capturing all the footage and making sure I really got everything, it simply slipped my mind to the point where I could then only make a Lens clip when leaving the museum. Next time, I'll set myself a reminder. Lessons learned :)
Equally, until now I was in the a bit of only posting an update when I really felt that I had something to say. This is a reflection of my personality I guess but I know that I might be holding off for too long and I think some updates could be made sooner. I still don't want to put anything out there until it is confirmed but especially for upcoming trips and workshops that I take, I will try to be more pro-active in letting everyone know.
If you have any question or would like to add something, let me know.
