Hey all,
I hope all of you had a good Christmas and a fantastic start into 2019. For myself, it has been a bit of a choppy transition, after getting hit hard with some likeness of the flu around the 26th of December, knocking me out cold pretty much until two days ago. That was fun.
Anyway, with that nearly overcome, I am back in action, both at the office writing on my doctoral project (that will go into the necessary upgrade phase, in which I can hopefully prove to the Department that it stands on two feet, soon) and working for the channel.
As for the TBD-1 Devastator project, I keep running into a wall when it comes to this aircraft. Nothing that would hamper the making of the video - that is already being worked out - but after chasing obscure references to specific, even more obscure equipment, my hunt has not yielded anything tangible. It is likely that what I need lies in some half-forgotten archival folder in the US, so nothing to be done for now.
Next to this video, I am currently working on something of a surprise video on a late-war German jet and a 'podcast'-type release with Justin on plane designs. Later on in March, we will probably also be having another collaboration video with another channel, but more on that later.
Over the past weeks, I have also been asked if I have an alternative to Patreon for support. I understand and share the hesitation many now have when it comes to this platform. Yet, currently no viable platform exists that I can throw my weight behind even although I would prefer to diversify the range of support options. The one alternative that I attempted, SubscribeStar, turned out to be a bust. However, should it interest you now or in the future, there is a direct support option available here: https://www.paypal.me/BismarckYT
If you have any questions, let me know as per usual
