Yes, it was for training and liason. The Finns found it after capturing a Soviet Airfield - quite interesting actually, since you'd think they'd fly out with it (it wasn't broken) or destroy it if they had the chance.
It's a CV-440 - didn't notice myself saying DC-9 which is obv very different.

Wow, that Polikarpov trainer is rather interesting! I didn't know it existed. Bismark, do you know if they were used for training pilots transitioning to the I-16? The two planes look rather similar (not surprising given the fact they are designed by the same design bureau).
On another note, I'm pretty sure the passenger turboprop you went into is not a DC-9. Initially I thought it was a DC-4, but after some digging I tend to think it is a Convair CV-440. But anyways, thanks for the video, it was an interesting tour.
